Hi Gravelers,

Couldn’t make the beach scene due to the hurricane watch this weekend?

We guarantee you will not be bored sitting at home - there’s plenty of entertainment to keep you out and about -

We’re doing a special Labor Day performance this Friday night, September 3rd, at Positive Vibe Café, located in the Stratford Hills Shopping Center on Forest Hill Avenue and Hathaway Road MAP.

A little history: The Positive Vibe Foundation creates an involving model for training and employing people with disabilities so they are able to enjoy the satisfactions of being gainfully employed and fully contributing members of our community. This focus allows their confidence to self-actualize through the development of their diverse talents.

Let’s support their mission by coming out this weekend and enjoying the live entertainment donated by local bands – The Taters on Thursday night (7:00), Loose Gravel on Friday night (8:30).

Travel west on Broad Street and you’ll find us at Daddio’s Bar & Grille on Gayton Road MAP. You’ll love the “two bar” set up here at Daddio’s, like bar hopping without leaving the parking lot. There’s great food, fun and friends on both sides. Show starts at 9:00.

And for future dates to mark on your calendar - on Saturday, October 9th, at Short Pump Pour House, we’ll be doing the complete soundtrack of “A Hard Day’s Night”, a very special tribute to honor the life and music of John Lennon on his 70th Birthday.

Also, it’s not too early to start thinking about that special costume for our annual Halloween Party at Andy’s Restaurant in Ashland on Friday, October 29th.

There’s a lot to look forward to as the temperature starts to get cooler, we’ll be getting hotter!

Have fun and keep cool!

Beat the heat in a new Loose Gravel T-Shirt. We have all sizes in Red, Gray and the ever popular Orange, on sale at all of the shows.

You can see us at these fine venues:

September 10th – Friday – Lakeside Tavern, Lakeside Avenue
September 17th – Friday – Rock's River Roadhouse, Lanexa
September 18th –Saturday – Rock's River Roadhouse, Lanexa
September 24th – Friday – Andy’s Restaurant, Ashland
September 25th – Saturday – Brunetti’s Restaurant, Atlee Road, Mechanicsville

Want to see Loose Gravel at your favorite club or venue? Mention the band to management and give them our web site address – we want to play where you play!

If you had a great time and want Loose Gravel to return to a certain venue, give them a call and ask for us by name!

September message from Henry

Summer is almost at an end, but never fear - there are plenty of chances to rock through the end of the year.

We celebrate Labor Day on September 6th and the first day of Autumn is on the 23rd.

I have to say that this year's BLAST FROM THE PAST was a GAS, GAS, GAS. I know that everybody that was with LOOSE GRAVEL enjoyed themselves in a big way.

O.K. you may have seen hints to our big event for October but here is the official word from the official web site:

October 9th at the Pour House in Short Pump, LOOSE GRAVEL will pay tribute to John Lennon on what would have been his 70th birthday by performing the complete sound track (British Version )to "A Hard Day's Night". This should be a treat for any Beatles fan (as well as for us).

Come early, bring a friend wear your Beatles t-shirt or if you don't have one, wear your LOOSE GRAVEL t-shirt. Don't have one?!!!! You can buy them at any of our shows, and certainly on the night of October 9th.

We would like to say "Thank You" to all of you that have been true supporters of the band. We really appreciate your efforts more than you know.

As always, be good to each other and we will see you at the shows !

Give Peace A Chance,
Henry
